MMA Insurance plc (MMA), the intermediary-only insurer, has become the first insurer to recommend the ClaimWatch® system to its repairer network. The decision follows a six-month trial period when several MMA Approved Repairers used the system.

ClaimWatch, launched last year, is a web-based tracking package (www.claimwatch.co.uk) that enables insurers, bodyshops and customers to monitor the repair status of their vehicle(s). It was designed to facilitate the uplift of information direct from insurer databases and can therefore easily load repair networks with new work. In essence it negates the need for fax contact between insurer and bodyshop.
