Japanese and Korean vehicle component supplier Solid Auto is to move into a new 15,000 sq. ft warehouse in the west Midlands in February 2004.

The new premises, two miles from the existing site, is due to be completed by the end of this year, and will be more than twice the size.

The relocation is part of a planned expansion by Solid Auto as it looks to increase sales. It will provide extra space, allowing the firm to improve the level and variety of stock, along with offices for the expanding sales support and technical department. The company currently employs 28 people, but is looking to recruit more by mid-2004.

Solid Auto supplies OE or equivalent parts such as filters, braking, electrical and steering and suspension components. Brands include Daikin, Yuasa, GMB and Asco.
