The specialist unit, part of multi-franchised retail group Camden Motors, has ambitious plans to expand its remarketing database, from about 750 to 1000 contacts by the end of the year. Camden Corporate Fleet Services already supplies about 51,000 vehicles to the fleet industry; it now plans to sell 10,000 nearly new vehicles this year. The majority of stock is ex-daily rental Fords and Vauxhalls.
Driving the expansion is a new web-based system that allows access to a wide-range of remarketing channels. It sends traders a daily email detailing used vehicle stock and also allows retailers to check vehicle availability.
Jeff Peyton-Bruhl, business development and marketing manager, says: “Rather than sell 100 cars to one customer we prefer to sell one car to a 100 different customers. We are well on the way to getting contacts in all the locations we need to cover that sell nearly new Ford and Vauxhall products.
“The range of vehicles we can offer coupled with the speed of accessibility to check stock will appeal to dealers and traders. Buyers have instant access to vehicles in excellent condition.”
