European Motor Holdings plc, the dealer group and importer of the Malaysian Perodua budget car brand, has reported pre-tax profits for the six months to 31 August of £6.7m – up 9% year on year. Turnover increased to £242m from £231m.

The group also announced that it is to represent the Bentley franchise for the north east of England. EMH shares climbed 5.5p (2.9%) to 194p immediately following the release of the results.
