Values of the Vauxhall Omega have fallen dramatically - so much so, that supermini money now buys this big, comfortable saloon.

A 98R 2.0 GLS with 30,000 miles is around £4k at independents. More desirable is the 2.5 V6 CD, with a CD player and air conditioning, at about £5k for a 98R 70,000-miler at a supermarket.

The sporty, body-kitted 3.0 V6 MV6 adds leather trim and 17-inch wheels. Prices start at under £8k for an R-reg 60,000-miler at Vauxhall dealers (new price was £26k).
