Values of this year's 'must have' urban wheels, the retro-styled but thoroughly modern Mini, are so buoyant that sellers are still making a killing even more than a year on.

We saw an 0151-plated Mini One (the least expensive model) with the 'Salt' option pack (again, the cheapest option) plus alloy wheels for £11,200. List price for a brand new 02-reg car with this spec is just under £11,000!

Prices will soften as the Cooper and Cooper S models drift on to the used market.
