The on-line maintenance system for lease cars developed by Oasis Global Systems is almost halfway to its planned target of being used by 2500 dealers.

In the first nine months of this year, the company signed up 1200 franchised and independent dealers of which 600 are regular users, says Oasis managing director Terry Hale. He is confident of reaching the target within two years.

The Oasis system is being pioneered with HSBC Vehicle Finance, LeasePlan and Interleasing with 300,000 drivers using it to book routine services. For dealers, it means instant authorisation.

Hale is targeting the country's top 50 contract hire and leasing companies which between them operate 1.3 million vehicles.
