Ten per cent of the 100-plus BMW Approved repairer network estimators who failed a tough certification test are having their training needs reassessed by their managers. All are expected to resit the examination, which is part of the Audatex Fast Track Certification course.

A spokesman for Audatex says the BMW pass rate was better than average and adds: “The exercise highlighted the extremely high standards that exist within the network. Ninety per cent of delegates achieved a pass following more than three hours of rigorous tests, including the accurate compilation of estimates using AudaWorkstation and a multiple-choice questionnaire.”

Those estimators who scored particularly highly have qualified for the BMW estimator of the year competition.
