Vehicle security specialist Cobra is canvassing dealers' aftersales departments to stock its reverse parking aid, ParkMaster.

Distributed in the UK by Vestatec, the system comprises four bumper-mounted ultrasonic sensors, a boot-mounted control unit, warning bleeper and associated wiring.

Cobra says installation is quick and straightforward. Sales manager Dave Thornber points out: “Dealers can add value to the sale of both new and used vehicles by providing customers with a quality product which will protect their investment at a relatively low cost while creating an additional revenue stream.”

ParkMaster creates a detection zone when reverse gear is selected. Its audio signal emits a warning which increases in frequency until the tone becomes continuous at a distance of 30cm.
