North-west retailer Blue Bell BMW has acquired Lookers' dealership in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

The company intends to use the site to accommodate its BMW approved used car operation, with long-term plans to establish it as a standalone Mini showroom.

The acquisition is part of Blue Bell's expansion programme. In December it opened a BMW approved bodyshop, which can repair 100 cars a year, at Handforth Dean.

The combined investment in the bodyshop and showroom is more than £2m.
