Factors demanded it - so Delco Remy developed it: the starter and alternator manufacturer has introduced a new installer training package.

Each course, run by one of Delco Remy's senior product engineers, is for up to 12 mechanics with allocation of places being decided by factor selection on a first come, first served basis. There is a “nominal” charge for attendance.

Subjects covered in the six-hour sessions include electrical theory, product types, functionality, installation and fault diagnosis. An important element of the day is a practical strip-down and build slot.
