Work is due to start on Monday on a new £350,000 redevelopment of what was formerly the Dixon Ford used car site in Saville Street, Sheffield, into a brand new Nissan dealership.

Dixon became the largest Nissan representative in England when it was awarded the franchise for Sheffield in February. The redevelopment will incorporate a new seven bay workshop, parts facilities and salesroom and is scheduled to be fully operational by the end of the year.

Up to 10 new jobs will be created when the site re-opens to boost the existing team of 13 led by Graeme Stark. Since Sheffield Nissan opened Dixon Motors has also acquired the franchise for Lincoln and York now totalling 11 sites out of the company's 64. Dixon has two Ford dealerships and a Car Clinic in Sheffield.
