Inchcape Retail has bought the Toyota dealership in Farnham, previosuly trading as Tourist Trophy. The acquisition brings the number of Inchcape dealerships in the region to seven.

Inchcape Retail's franchise director Spencer Lock said the purchase fits with the company's strategy of focussing on strong regional marketplaces.

"With well-established Toyota businesses in Guildford and Sandhurst it allows us to improve our already outstanding customer service in the region."

Trading as Inchcape Toyota - Farnham, the outlet is the sixth Toyota franchise in the group, the others being in Derby, Guildford, Nottingham, Oxford and Sandhurst.

Locally the group also represents HA Fox - Guildford, Hunters Land Rover - Guildford, Lexus Guildford, Wadham Kenning Toyota - Guildford, Mann Egerton Renault - Guildford, Sandhurst Toyota and Inchcape Ford - Farnborough.

Tourist Trophy had been a Toyota dealership since 1995.
