The UK became the third largest market in the world for Ferrari and second largest for Maserati during 2000.

Ferrari sold 4,072 cars wordwide, 462 in the UK during the year. In the US/Canada sales were 1,111, and Germany 608. Maserati's global sales reached 2,027, of which 351 were sold in the UK, beaten by Germany where sales reached 461.

Ferrari S.p.A's total sales for both brands globally increased by 14% in 2000. Its global sales turnover totalled £550.9m, an increase of 17.9% compared to 1999. The consolidated operating result, at £28.1m, was almost double that for the previous year (£14.5m). Income before tax, amounting to £11.2m, was more than double the 1999 figure of £4.8m.
