A new 'build to order' service has been introduced by RHDimports available free to dealers in the UK.

This online quotation system, for which the company charges a fixed one-off fee of £127.66 plus VAT includes such services as foreign exchange protection, extended warranties, PDI, European collection and shipping to the UK, delivery and a dealer-specified profit margin paid by RHDimports.

There are additional charges to the 'click and order service'.

Dealers access the 'trade only' marketplace on www.rhdimports.com through a registration process with password and pin number protection.

Dealers can then enter the website to review RHDimports range of makes and models, including comparison prices, savings, lead times and to configure the model their customer wants.

Standard UK specs are listed online.

Trevor Dodwell, RHDimports' managing director, said: “This additional service enables dealers to configure and order their customers' cars at discounted prices – in around three minutes.”

RHDimports offers UK dealers access to parallel imports and was launched on March 1 by Broadspeed.

It mirrors the Broadspeed build-to-order internet operation established around two years ago aimed at the consumer with a business-to-business operation offering planned forward stock deliveries and immediately available vehicles.
