Partco, part of the Unipart Group, has signed a major agreement with Ford to become the recommended sole supplier of its 'other makes' parts.

The multi-million pound deal will see Partco supply quality first-tier brands to all 300 Ford Rapid Fit branches.

Ford Rapid Fit provides maintenance and light repairs. The new programme is supported by Rapid Quote, a specially developed electronic parts catalogue and ordering system, which enables Ford Rapid Fit to provide a 'fully fitted' other makes price estimate in seconds.

In addition to link in with Ford Rapid Fit's Service Pledge, participating Ford Rapid Fit branches can now offer any customer a full nationwide guarantee on any Partco other makes part they fit to any vehicle.

Reuben Gates, Unipart Group European aftermarket division corporate development manager, said: "More than half of the Ford Rapid Fit network signed up to the programme on the launch day which is a tremendous testament to the high value placed on this programme by Ford Rapid Fit."
