Car Care Plan has launched a new internet service allowing dealers to register warranties and make claims online.
A nine-month pilot of the programme with a small number of dealers has been completed and the system is being introduced nationwide - with Car Care Plan now offering transaction completion in less than two minutes.
Graham Whiley, Car Care Plan's head of business services, said: “The system will be easy to follow and dealers won't have to be computer whizzkids to understand it. Our registrations and claims procedures will be revolutionised as there will be instant validation or clear reasons why it has not been accepted.”
The system will also be available from 6am until 9pm every day.
Mr Whiley added that dealers without internet access will still be able to register via the telephone or on paper and that the customer service helpdesk will still be available. (December 19, 2001)
