Daihatsu Vehicle Distributors has appointed a new operations director, Paul Hegarty, with responsibility for developing the UK franchise's sales and dealer network.

Mr Hegarty's move to the Daihatsu senior management team is a promotion from his previous position as franchise development manager for Subaru and Isuzu UK.

Managing director of Daihatsu Vehicle Distributors Limited, Andrew Edmiston, said: "Since joining International Motors in 1989, Paul has played a key role towards the success of the Subaru and Isuzu UK franchises. We are confident that he will now go on to make a major contribution towards the development of the Daihatsu business." (November 8, 2001)
