Auto Trader Interactive is overhauling its core database to handle growing demand from dealers and third party sources wanting to place used cars on the website.
Managing director Peter McCullough said Auto Trader was investing £1m in the venture, to be completed by February, working with e-specialist Buchanan International. “Buchanan is replacing our core database to cope with vehicle feeds from third party sources and dealers as well as our magazine,” he said.
Dealers will be able to track individual cars, assessing responses weekly. Auto Trader may also include new car offers on used car searches.
