An online data provider targeting used car retailers is challenging Cap and Glass's Guide's position as the leading suppliers of car values information.

S1FT believes its key advantage is the ability to provide up-to-the-minute information on car values, helping dealers to make instant decisions on their stocking policies.

A S1FT spokesman said: “People won't buy cars off the internet, they will look at the information and then go out to the showrooms. The internet has to be the future – it's up to speed and at the end of the day, everybody is and will be using it.”

The www.s1ft.co.uk website specialises in the premium end of the sports car market, including Toyota, Porsche and Aston Martin.
