Connected Car Design & Application Engineer

We are seeking a Connected Car Design and Application Engineer, on behalf of our globally successful Automotive OEM, based in Bedfordshire, on a contract basis. The successful engineer will be responsible for the implementation of on-board Telematics systems, whilst collaborating with Research and Development teams.

Responsibilities:

* Generation and release of Telematics Control Unit configuration data
* Managing Tier 1 suppliers to deliver products to Quality, Cost and Timing targets
* Collaboration with other Engineering teams to confirm system performance for remote commands
* Coordination of in-house and supplier TCU validation, to design standards, ahead of new Software releases
* Working with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure technical solutions support business objectives
* Liaising with related engineering sections to ensure all system components, are packaged and connected correctly, to meet design and regulation requirements
* Status reporting to management at all levels

You will ideally be degree educated, with experience of Telematics System development and Application releases, a background in automotive electrical and electronic development and competent in managing Tier 1 suppliers
