The Role:
Working as part of the UK Management Team and reporting to the Managing Director, the After Sales Manager will likely have experience within the agricultural machinery sector in an after-sales, product, or parts management capacity – either within the dealer network or with a manufacturer.
The Responsibilities:
Managing a team of 7 – currently 6 territory-based engineers and 1 office/home-based support
Communicating with factories on appropriate product issues and solutions
Facilitating dealer employee development through technical training plans
Overseeing and approving product warranty
Overseeing Technical Improvement Program (TIP) policies
Following up warranty reimbursement issues with factories
Developing and refining internal systems and processes
Developing dealer’s service management and profitability capabilities to help strengthen their parts and service business
Providing marketing support to ensure product optimisation via customer clinics
Assisting with demonstrations and shows
The Candidate:
Experience with CRM as well as manufacturer service and parts systems
Understanding of farming / agronomy practices and the operational / business needs of agricultural customers
Good understanding of customer service, situation management, effective negotiation, and dispute resolution
Ability to communicate clear and concise information at all levels
Strong time management skills
Analytical and logical problem solving skills
Qualifications and Skills:
Degree in either agriculture, engineering, business or a related discipline
