To achieve a whole-market view of new car sales per outlet AM has taken the total number of new car sales so far this year and divided by the total number of new car franchised outlets in the UK, giving an average figure per dealership for all brands submitting data to the SMMT.
The year-on-year figures, together with the percentage variation, is given below in a table, from 2012.
