Hitwise has reported results that online searches for Tesla Model 3 soared by 345% in July, making it the most talked about EV on the market.
Elon Musk's latest creation, which aims to drive the California-based manufacturer into the mainstream, attracted huge interest online as interest in EVs grew mor generally throughout the month, according to the traffic analyisis specialists.
The increased interest in electric cars follows this year’s 10.3 % drop in new car sales and increase in used cars sales.

While the majority of Tesla searches were carried out by 18 to 24-year-olds, 45 to 54-year-old men searched the most frequently for ‘electric cars’, according to Hitwise.
This more mature audience of searchers more broadly are also found to visit dealership sites and brand manufacturers, such as Nissan Motor UK, BMW UK, showcasing intent to buy.
