AM100 group TrustFord has taken home the trophy for Fleet Dealer of the Year in the annual Fleet News Awards.
The national motor retailer, which has recently expanded its operation to include dealerships in Scotland, was judged the strongest entrant in a category whose finalists also included Group 1 Fleet Solutions, Inchcape Retail, Johnsons Fleet Services, Lookers and Pentagon Corporate Fleet.
Johnsons Fleet Services, judged a close runner-up, received a highly commended award.
Attendees to the Fleet News Awards were told: "Mobile services and 24-hour weekend working give TrustFord the edge in this category.
"With fleet accounting for a high proportion of its sales and aftersales business, TrustFord is geared up to meet the needs of leasing companies and end user fleets, with service promises including one-hour inspections and 24-hour rectification work. It continues to invest in new sites to ensure nationwide coverage to support corporate customers."
Mark Wilkie, fleet and commercial vehicle director at TrustFord, told AM afterwards: “I was immensely proud to accept the prestigious 'Fleet Dealer of the Year' award, representing the exceptional team at TrustFord - it is very humbling to receive it for the fifth time.
"Our dedicated team consistently exceeds expectations so this is great recognition to everyone in TrustFord who goes the extra mile to provide 360 degree support every day.”
Among other award winners on the night were MG Motor UK, which beat Audi, BMW Group, Cupra, Nissan, Smart, Suzuki and Volkswagen to claim the trophy for Most Improved Fleet Manufacturer of the Year.
And BMW Group UK won the headline award for Fleet Manufacturer of the Year: Car, beating fellow finalists Audi, Kia, Tesla, Toyota and Volvo.
The trophy for Fleet Manufacturer of the Year: Van was won by Ford Pro, beating fellow finalists Mercedes-Benz Vans, Renault, Toyota, Vauxhall and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
