A Fix Auto franchise business is to open its fourth repair centre in Yorkshire after receiving the keys to a 10,000 sq ft building close to the M1 motorway with seamless access and ample secure parking.
Fix Auto Leeds South will open by mid-September and will complement the Fix Auto Leeds North repair centre which was designed and built to the specification of the franchisees Stephen and Sam Smith (pictured) 18 months ago. The Smiths also operate Fix Auto Keighley and Fix Auto Bradford South.
Explaining the move, Sam said: “It really is all about progression. While our previous Leeds South site served us well, productivity and efficiency were restricted by the limited parking there. Access to the building wasn’t the best either. In summary, we simply outgrew it.
“Our new site will echo our Leeds North operation with an open plan bodyshop, plenty of car parking and easy access which will enable us to operate a far greater work-flow processes. It is also close to the M1 with easy and fluid access in and out of the site.”
Sam added: “It is yet another major investment for the business but one we feel is necessary to maintain the high level of service to our customers. When fully operational I believe our productivity will improve by more than 100 per cent over our former site.”
Ian Pugh, managing director for Fix Auto UK, commented: “This is yet another exciting development for Stephen and Sam and for the network. They became the first franchise partners to design and build a bespoke site and have really benefitted from its seamless productivity. They’re striving to build a portfolio of high-performing bodyshops which has to be congratulated.”
