THE 2014

Suzuki came close to equalling its best ever year in the UK for new car sales in 2013, registering just more than 33,000 units and taking a 1.5% market share.
It is likely to beat that this year, as 2014 will be the first full year of the SX4 S-Cross C-sector crossover. The car comes with a four-wheel drive option and its fuel-efficient, Fiat-sourced diesel engine set a benchmark for low CO2 emissions in four-wheel drive crossovers when it was launched at the end of 2013.
Next year will be important, with three new model launches: a new Suzuki Vitara to replace the Grand Vitara; a new Suzuki Swift; a new A-sector model seen at this year’s Geneva Motor Show called the Celerio claiming to offer class-leading low CO2 emissions.
Such widespread model renewal in such a short period is likely to give new impetus to the brand.
