GForces has strengthened its partnership with digital motor finance specialist, Codeweavers, by integrating Motor Credit Check into NetDirector.
The companies said this will provide retailers with a product that assists in delivering a greater number of qualified leads and help them capitalise on the boom in retailer finance.
By enabling a consumer to check their credit eligibility and receive a quote based on a motor retailer’s finance provision earlier in the buying process, dealers are more likely to receive a firm lead.
Leads generated through Codeweavers Motor Credit Check are delivered to NetDirector users instantly via email, iOS app and in the showroom.
Tim Smith, commercial director of GForces, said: “Comparison websites are already dominating the finance and loan industry, so it’s important that automotive retailers promote their own finance products effectively prior to a consumer stepping into the showroom.
"Codeweavers’ data shows that on average, between 20% and 30% of consumers who use the Motor Credit Check tool go on to purchase a vehicle from that retailer, demonstrating the power of online finance quotations and the value of its integration with NetDirector.”
Codeweavers Motor Credit Check’s does not give the identity of a retailer’s finance provider or leave a footprint on a consumer’s credit file. This promotes purchasing from that business, rather than a consumer navigating away and obtaining finance privately.
Roland Schaack, Managing Director of Codeweavers, also commented, “Motor Credit Check is highly effective at qualifying leads. Potential customers can use it to save in-showroom time and increase retailer-lender efficiency.
"Because relevant retailer staff are notified in real time when customers perform a Motor Credit Check, they can decide what steps to take to follow-up on the lead, ensuring sales teams make the correct product offer earlier in the process, and therefore improving conversion rates.”

What is 'best' here? For the dealer or for the customer? The industry is coming up with ever increasing ' clever' tools, where as, more genuine transparency , might serve better. If it's not actually doing a credit check with a credit ref agency, it's not really a credit check. Clear, fair and not misleading? Debate?
