Marshall Motor Group has appointed of Robert Newbold as head of business development, succeeding Sue Myers.

Reporting to Commercial Director, Chris Sheppard, Robert Newbold will lead the delivery of the Group’s sales process and F&I strategy. He joins Marshall from the Vindis Group, another privately-owned business, where he held the same position.

Daksh Gupta, chief executive of Marshall, said: “This is a critical appointment for us and we are delighted that Robert is joining our operational board.

“Consistent application of robust, bespoke processes is essential for success in the retail automotive sector.

“Marshall has grown substantially over the last five years and we now have over 2,000 colleagues in 68 businesses across the UK, representing 20 manufacturer brands, so Robert will be working with the senior leadership team to refine and deploy our processes right across the country.”
