Several carmakers are considering installing digital radios as standard in all their UK vehicles.
The measure could bring economies of scale as the French Government has decided to switch off the FM airwaves by 2013, meaning all cars sold there will require digital radios.
Renault, Peugeot and GM have said they are thinking of fitting digital radios in UK cars, if economies of scale are available, reports the Daily Telegraph.
