Deliveries for the new model, which succeeds the 2002 model, will begin in May. A saloon version will be available in the summer.
The 5.0-litre engine under the bonnet, mated to a six-speed tiptronic automatic transmission, will blast the RS6 from 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds and then on to an electronically limited top speed of 155mph.
