An Audi concept car unveiled in China points to a Land Rover Freelander rival due in 2010.
The Cross Coupe quattro unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show will become the Q3 – a small SUV which will share its underpinnings with Volkswagen’s forthcoming Tiguan.
The Audi concept features a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine tuned to offer 204bhp and drive is channelled through the S tronic semi-automatic gearbox.
The Q3 will join Audi’s expanding off-road family which, by next year, will include the Q5, the existing Q7 and Allroad.
