Mazda has showcased the world premiere of its new Mazda2 at the Geneva Motor Show today.
The new B-segment Mazda2, a rival for Vauxhall’s Corsa, will be launched initially with two petrol engines, an MZR 1.3-litre engine and an MZR 101bhp 1.5-litre.
Mazda plans to introduce a 1.4 diesel engine a few months after the Mazda2’s launch.
Safety features will include dual front airbags as standard, with front side airbags and curtain airbags available on option.
Mazda has not set an official launch date for the Mazda2 in the UK, but is hoping for it to reach showrooms before the end of the year.
