Administrators are attempting to restructure Braylake Motors, a former Suzuki dealer of the year winner with three sites representing the brand.

Joint administrators Myles Halley and James Philpott from KPMG were called in by directors to restructure the business, following a breakdown between business partners, AM understands.

Records at Companies House state the directors as Philip Haupt and David Dunn. Its accounts for 2006 showed a pre-tax profit of £95,000 from £13.3m turnover, almost half the sales it achieved in 2004.

Dealerships in Northampton and Milton Keynes have been closed with the loss of several jobs, however Braylake’s remaining dealership at Leighton Buzzard is continuing to trade under the administrators.

A spokesman for Suzuki GB said there is “no sign” that they would close, and it hopes that the new structure will be satisfactory to enable the outlets to continue to trade for Suzuki.
