Springfield Honda’s dealership in Newcastle is being split into two new outlets which will be located on the east and west sides of the city. Later this month the company will establish a site in North Shields and in April will open in Scotswood Road in a £3m deal involving Honda UK.

The move is part of Springfield’s aim to achieve a higher profile north of the Tyne and to service customers throughout Tyne and Wear and Durham.

“The North Shields site will significantly extend our reach in the area. Scotswood Road is currently a Reg Vardy jaguar franchise. It’s a prime site in an area enjoying major investment. I am convinced this will further enhance our business and our reputation,” says David Lewins, managing director of Springfield.
