Epyx has expanded its 1link range of motor industry e-commerce products with the acquisition of the Smart Remarkit vehicle remarketing web tool.

Smart Remarkit is a web-based remarketing tool enabling dealers to search, locate and purchase stock at any time. It alerts buyers when cars they are looking for are posted onto the site while enabling vendors to control and administer their stock online. Smart Remarkit automates all finance and transport transactions, and provides advanced reporting facilities for both buyers and vendors.

In total, 6,400 vehicles have been sold through Smart Remarkit with a combined value of £46m since its launch in 2001.

The product is Epyx's third major acquisition in the last 12 months, following the purchase of Oasis Global Systems last September and Translease in July 2003.
