Mercedes-Benz Direct has opened its eighth used car centre in the UK following a strong performance by the network last year. More than 10,000 used cars were sold by from Direct sites in 2003 and the group is hoping the new outlet on the North Circular in Park Royal, London, will continue this success.

Owner DaimlerChrysler expects the site to follow in the footsteps of its neighbouring outlet in Kingston upon Thames, which has just opened a second site to cope with growing demand. Adjacent to Hanger Lane underground, the new Park Royal dealership follows the tried and tested formula of offering a wide range of high-quality cars at competitive prices.

Stock is sourced direct from the manufacturer and is often ex-demonstrator or ex-corporate fleet cars between six months and six years old. Mike Lumsden, dealer principal, says: “Good residual values, a great brand image and our excellent warranty has made Mercedes-Benz a huge hit in the area. The Park Royal site is destined to be a great success and we are actively recruiting staff to deal with demand.”
