Trade figures for October pre-registrations in the UK car market show Ford pre-registered more cars than any other manufacturer - with Peugeot a close second. Ford pre-registered 144 and Peugeot 134, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.

The Supply of New Cars Order 2000 requires manufacturers to publish the number of pre-registered cars supplied and the gross income received by suppliers from selling them. In October the total was 412 cars at a gross value of £3,970,275.14.
