Mercedes and Comer Homes, a luxury properties construction company, have joined forces for a special promotion.

Since the last week in November, every Comer buyer spending more than £350,000 gets a free Mercedes car worth £33,000.

The cars are new E-class or CLK 240 petrol or 270CDI diesel, all automatic with metallic paint. Each is sourced from Mercedes-Benz corporate sales in London. Owners must keep the cars for a minimum of four months.

“The promotion is going really well,” says a spokesman for Comer Homes. “Enquiries trebled in the first couple of weeks. We haven’t given away any cars yet because the properties have not completed, but we have had a number of reservations.”

“This is our first association with a building company,” says Marcus Shepherd, marketing manager for corporate sales, DaimlerChrysler Retail. “Comer approached us because they wanted a lifestyle alternative to a new kitchen for their customers.”

The promotion is expected to run until spring 2005 and give away 30 to 40 cars.
