Stephen Ramsay, ReMIT managing director, says: “ReMIT's participation with the Top Technician 2005 Award is an extension of our work with young people in the retail motor sector. Those young people put great effort into achieving their qualifications, and once they are qualified, a lucky few can apply their skills in friendly competition with experienced technicians in Top Technician.”
Top Technician entrants will receive a first stage questionnaire to complete and return before January 15 2005. Those scoring over 80% will go through to the second round, from which the 12 finalists will be chosen. They will participate in the live final at the Automotive Trade Show, to be held at the NEC from April 5-7 2005. Senior ReMIT field staff will be present, and taking part in the judging.
The winner of Top Technician 2005 will be announced at an awards ceremony shortly after the final. The winner will get £2,000 tax-free bonus to spend on whatever they choose.
