Christian Géraud has taken over from Tod Evans as managing director of Peugeot Motor Company plc. He joins the UK company from Peugeot Automobiles Italia SpA, where he was also managing director.

Géraud joined the Peugeot group in April 1972 – spending the first 10 years at the Paris head office. He became director of the Lyon and Toulouse subsidiaries. In 1991 he was appointed general manager of the company's Austrian subsidiary and remained there until his appointment as managing director of Peugeot Italia in July 1996.

Tod Evans has moved to the new position of non-executive chairman of the board of Peugeot Citroën Automobiles UK Ltd - taking responsibility for the Group's external relations and communications in the UK.
