South London-based ATS, which has an annual turnover of £9m and supplies paint and consumables to crash repair workshops, will continue trading under the same banner.
But while there will be no immediate changes to the customer facing side of the business, Alliance be looking to organically grow the operation by either opening new sites or acquiring existing ones, according to Alliance managing director, Tom Keeping.
Alliance says there will be no changes to senior management. Paul Wicks will continue as managing director of ATS while Kevin Bradey will remain as managing director of ATS Roadfox. The Alliance portfolio includes three important automotive sectors: replacement parts for cars, commercial vehicle parts and refinishing distributors.
The move is part of Alliance's ongoing expansion plan, which included taking control of The Factoring Services Group, which provides independent motor factors with a package of business support services.
