A new one-stop shop has been launched by the Danish garage equipment supplier Stenhoj to provide a dedicated service operation to the UK's automotive workshop and equipment industry.

Named Gemco Transervice, the new division has arisen from Stenhoj's acquisition of Gemco 2000 and its recent move to become a major shareholder in Transervice. A workforce of 175 engineers specialising in mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering is based in Northampton, Halifax and Winsford. Gemco Transervice aims to be the strongest multi-brand garage equipment service operation in Britain.

“We will be focussed on high quality branded products and complete project management solutions for fast-fits, national auto centres and all sectors of the aftermarket,” says managing director Peter Toland. “As one of the biggest players in the market we are not going to be able to grow by a huge amount, so we will focus on providing high quality service.”
