Classic Car Engineer Required in Liss for a Classic Car Restoration Workshop Business

Monday - Friday OnlyClassic Car Mechanic Required in Liss, Hampshire for a Classic Car and Historic Vehicle Specialist. Our client specialises in classic and modern car maintenance and repair and has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced vehicle technician to join their dynamic engineering team. This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to broaden their experience and advance their career in a thriving and supportive workplace.

Our client appreciates you may not know and be an expert for all vehicles made in the 1950's but what they are looking for is the "willingness to learn and able to problem solve".

Based in our client’s workshop near Liphook, Hampshire you will take responsibility for the quality of work produced by the workshop and provide a technical and professional example to less experienced vehicle technicians in the workshop. You will be self-motivated and comfortable interacting with all areas of the business and customers to help ensure the team achieve agreed targets. This exciting position offers opportunity to progress into a higher role.

Responsibilities of a Classic Car Mechanic working for our clients business: 

To perform all work assigned in a professional manner 
To carry out classic car restoration activities as request by the customers 
Dissemble, label, store vehicle parts and assemblies 
Day to day vehicle mechanics, fabrication and motor engineering - this role is not fitting and replacing parts! 
Strip components and assess their condition and either replace or restore them 
To produce concise parts and materials requirements lists to assist with the buying process 
Reassemble the restored vehicles to achieve quality and long term customer satisfaction     Classic Car Technician Applicant Requirements

A minimum of NVQ level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair with a minimum of 4 years’ experience
Be enthusiastic, respectful and friendly to guests and colleagues
Possess a positive/can-do attitude · Have the passion and ability to deliver an outstanding customer experience
Possess high levels of integrity and drive to succeed
The ability to work as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service
Demonstrates an honest and diligent approach to work
Systematic and organised in their approach to work
Previous classic vehicle experience and a good understanding of automotive systems
A full and valid UK Driving LicenceWe would love to hear from up and coming Classic Car Mechanic Enthusiasts or experienced Mechanics with a passion for Classic Car Engineering .
