The new Polestar 3 has achieved a record-breaking safety score for child occupant protection, earning a five-star overall rating from Euro NCAP.
The all-electric SUV secured a standout 93% in child occupant protection, the highest score awarded to any passenger car tested by Euro NCAP in the past nine years.
Dr Aled Williams, programme director at Euro NCAP, praising the result, said: “The Polestar 3’s performance in the Child Occupant tests is tantalisingly close to a perfect score and shows how a commitment to the safety of all occupants can pay off in providing outstanding protection in the event of an accident. Polestar deserves recognition for setting a new standard.”
In addition to its record-setting child safety result, the Polestar 3 achieved: 90% for adult occupant protection; 73% for protection of vulnerable road users and 83% for advanced safety systems.
The model builds on the success of the Polestar 2, which also achieved a five-star rating when tested in 2021. The Polestar 3 is now the second vehicle in the brand’s current line-up to receive top honours from Euro NCAP.
