Former Inchcape director David Tyler has joined Marshall Motor Group (MMG) as its new estates and facilities management director.
Tyler has worked in the automotive industry for the last 17 years, most recently as director of estates and facilities at Inchcape.
He joined Marshall on December 2 and reports into David Johnson, Marshall's property director, who was appointed this summer.
MMG operates one of the largest commercial footprints in the UK automotive retail space and continues to develop its significant retail network across 34 counties in England.
Tyler worked at Inchcape for the last three and a half years and was responsible acquisitions, disposal, rent reviews, refurbishment and facilities management of the estate.
Prior to this, Tyler spent 14 years with BMW, serving in various roles within the UK and Europe, including time based at BMW’s Munich headquarters.
Latterly, he advised BMW’s national sales companies in the EMEA region on their real estate strategy and corporate governance.
Martin Casha, MMG chief executive, said: “David Tyler is joining us in the role of estates and FM director as we continue to pursue our vision to be recognised as the UK’s premier automotive retail group by our consumers, colleagues, and business partners.
“We continue to strengthen our property portfolio and, having appointed David Johnson in July with over 35 years of experience in the field, we are delighted that David Tyler brings additional experience to MMG's corporate real estate team, having worked in senior roles within automotive estate management over the past 17 years.”
