The IMI has announced new member benefits; including support for business managers, as well as introducing a comprehensive careers information and advice service.
A new partnership with specialist A.C.T. will give members access to information and advice on HR topics, such as contracts, policies and procedures. In addition, members can now access Health and Safety compliance information to help them manage issues, comply with regulations, and protect people from risks associated with their business.
Chief executive Steve Nash said: “As part of our commitment to members, we continually look at ways to improve our membership offer. Running a business in the modern motor industry is an increasingly complex task. For smaller outfits in particular, the skills and training necessary to deal with issues such as regulation compliance are not always readily available, putting businesses at risk. With these new services, we want to ensure that our members have all the information they need to manage their businesses efficiently and with minimum risk.”
The IMI will also supply a comprehensive careers information and advice service. Supporting both individuals entering the industry and those looking to further their career, the careers service gives members access to a range of career-related resources online and one-to-one support from careers specialists. The service will sit alongside the IMI’s existing jobs website which currently lists over 4000 automotive current vacancies every month.
IMI members will gather at Bentley in Crewe on Wednesday April 22 for the organisations spring Representative Member Assembly (RMA) to discuss issues facing the motor industry, as well as exploring the topics covered in the new member benefits.
