Interactive technology and two dedicated ‘greeters’ have been introduced at Vertu Volkswagen in Mansfield as part of a £500,000 improvement scheme.

A full refurbishment has seen the Nottinghamshire dealership brought into line with new Volkswagen corporate guidelines and introduce new facilities which bosses hope will deliver “a more digitally-orientated and personalised customer experience”.

Three new team members have also been added to the dealership’s team as part of the improvements. One is a mechanic while two more will work primarily as greeters, guiding customers to their area of interest, be it parts, sales or servicing.

The dealership’s workshop has also benefited from the installation of brand new flooring and ventilation and a new roof which delivers a more spacious working environment and increased ventilation.

Customer behaviour is changing and alongside the traditional buying process a new digital-savvy consumer is emerging who is more informed than ever when entering the final stages of the buying process. The Mansfield dealership now has interactive touchscreens, which customers can use to configure their own vehicle, customising every possible aspect to create a vehicle that reflects their wants and needs.

By transforming our dealerships into comfortable, welcoming and pleasant places, we can engage with customers and work towards securing sales.”
