Bristol Street Motors has opened its newly refurbished Ford dealership in Durham, following a £2.4 million investment.
The dealership now has a new showroom and parts department, alongside a fully refurbished workshop.
Bristol Street Motors added the dealership to its portfolio with the acquisition in July 2012.
The Durham dealership now employs more than 40 people.
The site in the Carville area of the city held an open night to celebrate the launch.
Ford managing director Andy Barrett attended the event, as special guest of Robert Forrester, chief executive of Vertu Motors, Bristol Street Motors’ parent company.
He said: “The investment underlines our commitment to being a major economic presence in Carville and County Durham. This substantial investment secures the long-term future of the site and improves the working and sales environment.”
