Rolls-Royce has revealed new details and images of its range topping eighth-generation Phantom.
The new car will go on sale next year in saloon bodystyle only and prices are likely to be above £400,000 for what is essentially a luxury yacht on wheels.
BMW engineers have focussed on improving the driving experience of the Phantom and it comes with a twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre V12.
Despite a kerb weight of 2,625kg, the Phantom can accelerate from 0-62mph in 5.3 seconds.
The V12 produces 563bhp at 5000rpm and full torque of 664lb ft is available at just 1800rpm.
The Phantom is the first model from Rolls-Royce to be built on a new aluminium architecture which is likely to be used on a new luxury SUV in 2019.
Pendragon's Stratstone will bring Rolls Royce to Leeds with the creation of the luxury car manufacturer’s first Yorkshire franchise in time for the new Phantom's arrival next year.
It marks Stratstone’s first foray into the world of Rolls Royce, adding to a manufacturer representation which already includes Ferrari, BMW, Mini, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin.
